Rockingham County Fair Gearing Up for Jam-Packed Week of Fun and Music
Rockingham, VA — The Rockingham County Fair will take place August 13-18, 2018 with six jam-packed days of family fun, agriculture shows, entertainment, special contests, and thrilling rides! This year’s Pepsi Grandstand entertainment stage will feature: Chris Janson with special guests Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters on Monday, August 13; Billy Currington with special guest LOCASH on Tuesday, August 14; and Larry the Cable Guy with special guest Craig Morgan on Wednesday, August 15. All concerts will begin at 7 p.m.
The fun and excitement of the county’s biggest end–of-summer event also includes: Harrisonburg Ford Arena; the Poultry Industries Museum; the G&M Pavilion; Virginia Dreams Talent Stage; and ground entertainment Mechanical Bull, Mark Hinds as Kenny Rogers, Dale Jones the one-handed juggler; Lady Houdini Escape Show; and Disc-Connected K-9s Frisbee Dog Team.
The Rockingham County Fair is Virginia’s largest agricultural county fair nestled in the scenic Shenandoah Valley region. The fair was started in 1949 and has been at its present location at 4808 South Valley Pike in Harrisonburg since 1980. In recent years the fair has had an average attendance of 90,000 attendees and been recognized as a leader in agricultural programming.
